* Pray for the plans being made beforehand and for the protection
of the team members as they prepare for the trip,
both physically and spiritually.
* Pray for our dental teams (two dentists, Chris and
Holly& assistants Helen and Karen) as
they hope to treat nearly 200 patients in 5 days. Pray
for stamina and tolerable working
conditions, ability ton treat whatever problems arise and
no complications from treatment.
Lynne and Pastor Andy will be registering and entertaining
patients and their families
as they wait.
* Pray for the Mexican members of the team, including
prople from two C&MA churches in
Oaxaca and John Howard, C&MA Missionary in Guadalajara,
joining us there as they
travel several hours and make connections
with us. Pray for thei ministries of evangelism
that include pearching, music, children's programs,
visitation, scripture distribution, etc.
Pray for salvations among the
people who hear God's Word.
* Pray for the team's safe travel, good health, adequate
sleep, spiritual refreshment, warm
relationships, favor with officials, and communication
abilities necessary to do the work God
has planned fo us to do in San Jose on this trip.
* Pray for progress toward planting a permanent church
in the area. Pray that God would
call someone from one of our partner churches in Oaxaca
to full-time ministry among the
Mazatecos of San Jose who would be willing to brave
the harsh living conditions and
challanging spiritual atmosphere to persist in evangelizing
the lost and discipling new
believers.
* Our pastor/attorney friendwill not be able to go
with us to discuss the land issue, but pray
that God will work to resolve that soon and provide
funds for a ministry building to be built
on the ideal piece of property that
has been offered by the town government.
